Supervisor Statement on By-laws

Dear Residents of SYSRC:

The Local Governance Commission has developed the process for the adoption of by-laws where there is no sitting council. The process calls for:

  • Posting of new bylaws, by-law amendments or repeal of by-laws on the community website
  • Residents given a thirty (30) period during which to comment
  • Comments must be provided in writing only before the end of the 30 day period
  • Supervisor to consider all comments and approve the final version of the by-laws.

The following by-laws are being posted on the SYSRC website for comment in the coming days:

  • Procedural by-law
  • Code of Conduct
  • Repeal of the Chief Administration Officer By-law
  • Zoning by-law change to property PID 75541722, 2877 Route 101, Beaver Dam

We will accept written submissions by email to Supervisor@sysrc.ca until the end of the 30 day period that is posted for each by-law.
