A BY-LAW to Amend BY-LAW NO. 1
A PROCEDURAL BY-LAW FOR THE COUNCIL OF SUNBURY-YORK SOUTH RURAL COMMUNITY
BE IT ENACTED by the Rural
Community of Sunbury-York
South as follows:
Section 3. Definitions of by-law No.1 is corrected by striking out or the CAO/clerk presiding
over the EMO committee meetings to the end of Definitions and will read as follows:
b) ”Chair” means the member of the Council presiding over council meetings
or the CAO/clerk presiding over the Public Safety Committee meetings.
Section 4. MEETINGS OF COUNCIL of By-Law No.1 is corrected by striking out:
The Clerk shall be responsible for preparing and circulating the agenda for all meetings of the council. The deadline for agenda submissions for a regular meeting of the council shall be noon on the Friday prior to a meeting and replaced with the following: second Monday of the month. The agenda of a regular council meeting shall be posted on the Monday prior to the scheduled meeting and replaced with the following: second Friday of the month and will read as follows:
d) The Clerk shall be responsible for preparing and circulating the agenda for all meetings of the

noon on the second Monday of the month. The agenda of a regular council meeting shall be
posted on the second Friday of the month.
Section 4. MEETINGS OF COUNCIL of By-Law No.1 is amended by adding:
l) The council and Administration will meet as a council of the whole committee on the second
Thursday of the month from 6:30 p.m. to no later than 9 p.m. at our office location or by
electronic meeting at the CAO/clerk’s discretion.
Section 9(1)(n) of by-law # 1 is corrected by striking out: The CAO/Clerk will Chair the EMO
committee as per the Emergency Measure Act, and adding: and legislated requirements for the
public safety management of the community and will read as follows:
n) The CAO will chair the Public Safety Committee as per the Emergency Measure Act and
legislated requirements for the public safety management of the community.
